An Indian Restaurant with western ambience. We thought of trying some Indian cuisine nearby JHU Homewood campus. We found this restaurant just behind Marylander apartments. Due to labour Day many restaurants were not in service. We decided to go here and ordered some Indian food. 1. Veg pakoda 2. Paneer Jalfarezi 3. Malai Kofta 4. Garlic Naan 5. Beverages We found that veg pakoda was over fried. Malai kofta curry was made of tomato puri compare to cream and cashew. In Paneer Jalfarezi all veggies were not properly cooked maybe due to they serve this kind of food only. Btw rice was complementary with curry. But overall we found this restaurant not too good as expected. Well you guys can try and give your honest review. Food was great! I ordered vegetable biryani, lamb curry and samosa. Their biryani had a lot of vegetables compare to other restaurants they only put little cuts of vegetables on their biryani. Friendly service and attentive too. Though i find it odd that they also have Italian food in their menu. Recommended for Indian food.

Tamber’s has an extensive Indian and American Menu but on this visit we came for a taste of their Indian Cuisine. We ordered the Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Jalfrezi and Stuffed Naan. All Indian dishes are served with a side order of Steamed Rice. Our selections were well portioned and tasted GREAT! The curries in our selections looked similar but tasted totally different. We couldn’t get enough of the stuffed naan…cheesy, garlicky, oniony and spice overload had us wanting more. Shoulda probably ordered 2!! The perfectly cooked rice rounded out the meal. Definitely recommend!!!

What happened to this restaurant? It used to be a great place to dine. The entire wait staff seemed new and our server didn’t know the answer to some very basic questions about food preparation. The prices are very high and the quality of food has deteriorated . We will not be returning!

Nice environment. Traditional American and also fine Indian cuisine! Wow... Follow your nose because looks are deceiving! Seems like a classic American eatery outside... BUT! Excellent Indian food inside. My wife and I followed the sent of exotic spices and were wonderfully rewarded! Friendly service. Across from Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore.

I love the variety, I was able to get my Indian food fix and my son had a Buffalo chicken wrap. Everything was delicious. Service was quick. Staff friendly and attentive.

This has the vibe of a diner in but with a variety of cuisines. Perhaps, there are a too many options though it doea cater to the masses near Johns Hopkins Homewood campus. Overall, the servixe is a little sharp. Food was okay, would not recommend the Biryani and the Indian curries are rather creamy. Additionally, was told the food is NOT halal.

We ordered takeout while visiting my daughter. I had the Chicken Tikka Masala medium spicy and it was amazing! Everything else we had was great too and I had leftovers. Food was ready super fast on a Saturday night too!
